Ready to Go

Ready To Go - A program of Good News Garage Vermont

Ready To Go is a van transportation service designed to assist TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) recipients in Vermont to get to work and other related destinations, such as job interviews, job training, school and childcare. Ready To Go provides more than 60,000 rides annually!

Ready To Go is available to people referred to Good News Garage by either the State of Vermont or by businesses and organizations that contract with Good News Garage.  Please contact your caseworker or the State of Vermont Department of Economic Services for more information about  Ready To Go.

Ready To Go is serviced by donated Dodge, Plymouth, and Chrysler minivans and is always seeking additional minivans to use in the program. If you have a Dodge, Plymouth or Chrysler minivan to donate, please submit your van's information online. If you donate your van to Good News Garage and it is used in the Ready To Go program, you qualify to deduct the vehicle's 'fair market' value.

If your nonprofit organization or government agency would like to contract with Good News Garage's Ready To Go transportation service, contact Paul Boone, Program Manager at rides@ready-to-go.org or call toll-free 877.768.9950, ext 34.
