Ready to Go

Ready to Go – A program of Good News Garage Vermont

Ready to Go was started by Hal Colston in 2000. Ready to Go is a program of Good News Garage, Vermont. Ready to Go uses donated Chrysler mini-vans.  We are always seeking more donated Chrysler min-vans to use in the program. If a donor's van is used by Ready to Go the donor may deduct the 'fair market' value of the donated van on their taxes.

Ready to Go is a transitional transportation service which provides rides to low-income Vermonters in need of transportation to jobs, job training and other job-related services such as interviews and childcare. Good News Garage's Ready to Go works in partnership with the Vermont Department for Children and Families, Economic Services Division to provide this service.

Ready to Go is only available to people referred to Good News Garage by the State of Vermont or business or organizations that contract Good News Garage. Please contact your caseworker or the State of Vermont Department of Economic Services for more information about Good News Garage's Ready to Go.

If you have a Chysler mini-van to donate, please submit your vans information on this website. If your non-profit organization or government agency would like contract with Good News Garage's Ready to Go transportation service, contact Paul Boone, Program Manager at rides@goodnewsgarage.org or call toll-free 877-448-3288 extension 18.
